Products & Technical Capabilities

What are the best glass options for façade buildings?

For façade applications, recommended solutions include Solar Low-E insulated glass units, laminated safety glass, and tempered-laminated combinations. These systems provide structural safety, energy efficiency, solar control, and long-term durability while meeting international building standards.

What is the most suitable glass type for hot climates?

In hot climates, Solar Low-E insulated glass units are the most effective option. They reduce solar heat gain while maintaining high daylight transmission, lowering cooling loads and improving indoor thermal comfort.

What is the most suitable glass type for cold climates?

For cold climates, Low-E insulated glass units filled with argon gas are recommended. These systems minimize heat loss, improve insulation performance, and help retain indoor warmth during colder seasons.

Glass Technology Guide

How is laminated glass produced?

Laminated glass is produced by permanently bonding two or more glass sheets with an interlayer using heat and pressure in an autoclave process. The interlayer holds the glass together in case of breakage, preventing shards from falling apart. This method provides enhanced safety, impact resistance, UV protection, and long-term durability.

What are the PVB options in laminated glass?

CrystalForge offers multiple interlayer solutions depending on structural, safety, and acoustic requirements. Standard PVB options are available from Kuraray and Kingboard, selected according to customer preference and project specifications.

For applications that require higher safety and strength, Saflex® DG41 and SentryGlas® (SGP) interlayers are also available. Saflex® DG41 provides greater strength and stiffness than standard PVB, while SGP, the most premium solution in this category, delivers the highest level of safety. SGP is particularly suited to walkable glass floors and stairs, large glass panels, high-load façades, canopies, balustrades and structural glazing applications.

What is acoustic laminated glass?

Acoustic laminated glass incorporates a special sound-control interlayer that dampens sound vibrations. It significantly reduces noise transmission compared to standard laminated glass and is widely used in buildings located near traffic zones, airports, railways, and dense urban environments.

How is tempered glass produced?

Tempered glass is manufactured by heating glass to approximately 620–680°C and then rapidly cooling it using high-pressure air. This process increases strength up to five times compared to annealed glass. When broken, it fragments into small, blunt pieces to reduce injury risk.

What are insulating glass units (IGU)?

Insulating Glass Units (IGUs) consist of two or more glass panes assembled with spacers and sealed to create an airtight cavity filled with dry air or inert gas. IGUs reduce heat transfer, minimize condensation risk, and enhance energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings.

What is the difference between dry air and argon gas in IGU production?

Dry air provides basic insulation suitable for standard applications. Argon gas, being denser than air, reduces heat transfer more effectively, resulting in lower U-values and improved overall energy efficiency.

What is Low-E glass?

Low-E (Low Emissivity) glass features a microscopically thin coating that reflects long-wave infrared heat while allowing visible light to pass through. It reduces heat loss in winter and limits heat gain in summer, improving energy efficiency and indoor comfort.

What is Solar Low-E glass?

Solar Low-E glass provides enhanced solar control by reflecting a portion of solar radiation in addition to reducing heat loss. It is particularly suitable for façades exposed to intense sunlight and large glazed surfaces.

Certifications & Regulatory Compliance

Are your products compliant with EN standards?

All architectural glass products are manufactured in accordance with their relevant EN standards (such as EN 12150 for tempered, EN ISO 12543 for laminated and EN 1279 for insulating glass). Additional EN performance classifications and certificates are available upon request.

Do you supply automotive glass compliant with ECE R-43?

We supply automotive glass fully compliant with ECE R-43 regulations, including: ECE R-43 certified laminated automotive windshields as well as tempered automotive side glasses.

Logistics & Export Delivery

What ports do you ship from?

For sea freight exports, shipments are primarily executed via Gebze Port, near to our production facilities. Upon customer request, shipments can be arranged from any major commercial port within Türkiye.

How are products packaged for export?

All products are packed in custom-designed, reinforced wooden crates. Glass units are carefully separated and protected using cork spacers and specialized glass protection papers to prevent surface abrasion and mechanical stress.

Our export packaging protocol has resulted in zero transportation damage across international shipments to date.

What is the delivery schedule for Europe and the US?

Production typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on product type and volume.

  • Europe: 4–6 weeks total delivery
  • US East Coast: approx. 6–8 weeks total delivery
  • US West Coast: approx. 8–10 weeks total delivery

Final timelines are confirmed per project.

Commercial Terms & Pre-Shipment Quality Assurance

What payment terms do you offer?

Production is initiated upon receipt of advance payment.

Irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C) are accepted for deferred payment arrangements, subject to standard banking procedures.

Do you provide samples?

Samples may be provided depending on project scope. Sample costs and freight are charged initially and deducted from the total order value upon project confirmation.

How do you manage quality control before shipment?

All products undergo performance and compliance testing in line with applicable standards. An Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) is provided prior to dispatch.

No shipment is released until all identified non-conformities, if any, are fully rectified and approved by the quality control department.
