Heat & Solar Control Glasses

Heat & Solar Control Glasses

Heat & Solar Control Glasses are advanced coated glass solutions developed to meet the increasing energy efficiency and comfort requirements of modern buildings.

By effectively controlling both heat transfer and solar gain, these glasses help maintain stable indoor temperatures, reduce heating and cooling loads, and improve overall building performance throughout the year.

Designed for use in high-performance insulating glass units (IGUs), Heat & Solar Control Glasses support sustainable design goals while preserving daylight quality and visual comfort across different climate conditions and façade orientations.

The product range covers the following solution types:

  • Low-E Glass (Heat Control): Improves thermal insulation by reflecting indoor heat back into the building while maintaining high daylight transmittance; ideal for residential buildings and cold or mixed climate zones.
  • Solar Low-E Glass (Heat & Solar Control): Combines thermal insulation with effective solar control to reduce overheating and cooling loads while preserving visual comfort, suitable for mixed and warm climates.
  • Temperable Low-E & Solar Low-E Glass: Offers the same thermal and solar performance with enhanced safety and mechanical strength, suitable for large glass sizes, curtain wall systems, and high-rise applications.

Key Advantages of heat & solar control glasses includes the following:

  • Provides heat and solar control with a single coating
  • Reduces heating and cooling costs
  • Offers flexible performance and colour options for different project needs
  • Meeting safety requirements with tempered solutions that minimize injury risk upon breakage
  • Reduces condensation on the glass surface
  • Eliminates cold spots in winter and hot spots in summer, ensuring uniform indoor comfort with low reflectance and high transparency
